Lights! Camera! Laundry? How God Can Use You, Right Where You Are

As women, we have a tendency to think that when we get it all together God can finally use us. What we fail to realize, however, is that while we are caring for a child or a parent or a spouse, while we are going through a divorce, while we are looking for a job or while we are folding laundry, God is molding and shaping us to be the women He created us to be. His fingerprints are all over us, right in the middle of the ordinary and the mundane. He is the director of our lives and He is faithful to lead us right to the place He wants us, if we will just yield to His direction.

In this, her signature talk, Debi shares examples of people who were poised to do something great, to see their name in lights, only to be led by God in a completely different direction. She shares about her own life and how she survived tough trials and long periods without seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, yet He was there, all the time. Through these rich examples audiences can see and believe God’s promises for their own lives.

Debi’s easy, approachable style will bring encouragement to listeners and her humor will help them relate to those who have gone before, including herself.  Through it all, by looking in the Word, audiences will be able to see and understand God’s faithfulness in everyday life.

  • A great talk for multigenerational women’s events.  Available as a single presentation or a 2-4 part session retreat.

Time Trials:  God’s Timing vs My Timing

So many times we think we are ready for God’s promises and goodness in our lives.  So many times God has different ideas.  God is perfect and so is His timing.  We can trust Him to provide for us even when it seems He isn’t there.

Debi brings some of the best loved Bible characters to life in this talk.  She shares about how they survived tough trials and long periods of time without seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, God’s light.  Through their examples audiences can see and believe God’s promises for their own lives.

  • A great talk for MOPS / Moms groups and women’s ministry luncheons.  Available as a single presentation or a 2-4 part session retreat.

Prayer & Fasting: Cultivating Your Spiritual Garden

Believers are called to a life of prayer and fasting. But in today’s busy, self-absorbed world, many people have no idea where to start or how to proceed.

A life of prayer is like a garden. It grows from a seed to a small shoot to a vibrant plant that produces luscious fruit or beautiful flowers. It doesn’t happen overnight and it doesn’t happen without care and cultivation. But the harvest is wonderful and exciting as believers begin to see God’s bounty in their lives and the lives of those around them.

Fasting is also an integral part of a believer’s spiritual garden. And just like beautiful, mature fruit brings nutrients to the one who eats it, fasting brings vitality and health to believers who practice it.

In this talk Debi leads her audiences through some simple steps that will help them plant a garden of prayer and cultivate it so that they might reap a life-long harvest. She will also share the truth about fasting and help her give her audience confidence to add this element to their spiritual lives.

God’s word gives us some wonderful examples of how to pray, the benefits of prayer and the importance of fasting. The great part is that it’s free! Anyone can do it anywhere, anytime. It just takes practice.

Debi’s fun and insightful take on this subject will help audiences see prayer and fasting in a whole new light. Her perspective will help the audience understand and feel confident that they too can grow a beautiful spiritual garden that bears lovely fruit.

  • This talk is best suited for Christ Followers.  Available in a single presentation or a 2-part session retreat.
